The reception staff are wonderful. They are always friendly and they will always do their best to assist. I just had my smear test done today by Dr. Hanna, she was very understanding and listened to my concerns and giving me plenty of helpful advice. She made me feel so comfortable. All round, an excellent and professional and very kind service offered. Feeling grateful to belong to this GP practice. Big thank you.
Always helpful and attentive. The doctors here listen and provide the sort of personal service the NHS used to be renowned for.
Recently everytime I call I am told no appointments available and just go to A&E my partner is a diabetic and Dr Hannah had no idea how to handle a diabetic and had to get the nurse. Everytine I have seen Dr Hannah she just writes notes and sends me on my way. I have cried many times after seeing her as she has no people skills and doesn't appear to care. The only good things about this practice is the Nurse and Dr Dean sadly everyone knows that so its impossible to get an appointment to see one of the 2. My diabetic partner has been turned away many times even when he urgently needed insulin. Horrible place :(
New to this surgery, I thought GP practice in Buckhurst Hill will be good but unfortunately very disappointed,,, I have had appointments with dr Baxter and found it so ignored from the other side .Recently I have had an appointment with her regarding some physical health issue (I had the the same appointment before) she was not even bothered to examin me at all. she was just writing the notes (which is good but I expect a dr to atleast have a look what the problem is) I cried in front of her saying m in so much of pain.. But she didn't even bother to examin me, rather she was just telling me the stuff what reasons can be to trigger it. after asking her on my own and giving the example of my previous GP she just handed me over a card where to take a physiotherapy appoitment (even this card which she gave me, i asked her about some physiotherapy on my own). Infact she was telling me to go to any private physiotherapy session on my own . I mean I was so sad and angry at the same time how can u treat a crying patient like this, that to I told her that I am taking all other alternative therapy& massages. Even after that she was so reluctant to get up from her chair and examin me. I would not recommend her to anyone. my experience is not good at all. I will try to book another appointment with other practitioner there. That will be my last time with this surgery as I don't find it helpful at all.
A lovely surgery with good staff including excellent receptionists - a rarity it seems these days. The opening hours can be a little limiting for regular appointments but they are good at slotting you in if you need an emergency one. Repeat prescriptions are filled very quickly. They have a free carpark onsite which is very convenient and some toys and books to keep children entertained whilst waiting to be seen.
